life groupS

Because we believe that people grow when they are connected to God's Word and God's people, we encourage you to consider being part of a Life Group. Our groups typically meet weekly. The goal of Life Groups is to establish life-changing relationships and grow toward maturity in Christ together.

  • Bob and Carol Rieken

After many years of farming, Bob and Carol Rieken moved into Iowa Falls and became a part of IFEFC over 10 years ago. Although retired, they continue to serve our church in many ways, from leading Bible studies to caring for the landscaping at the church building.

Bob and Carol lead the Senior Adult Fellowship Group. Currently, they meet once every 1-2 months. Please contact the church office or Bob for more information on their next gathering.

Bob can be reached at bhbrieken@gmail.com or 515.689.3006.

  • Lynn and Trish Lee

Lynn and Trish Lee live south of Iowa Falls on the family farm and have been a part of our church family for many years. You will often find one or both of them serving our church family with their musical gifts. During the week, Lynn farms and Trish is the school board secretary.

The Lee's Life Group meets on Sunday nights at 6:30pm at the church building. Sorry, no childcare is available during this Life Group.

Contact Lynn at LLLPAL86@gmail.com or 641.849.0911 for more information.

  • Jeremy and Kirstin Nelson

Pastor Jeremy and Kirstin Nelson moved to Iowa Falls with their three small children four days before Christmas in 2012. Pastor Jeremy serves as the lead pastor and Kirstin is the church secretary. Their once small children are now school-age and the Nelsons enjoy time together as a family both at home and at school and church activities.

The Nelson's group meets about 3 times per month on Tuesday nights at 6:30pm. The group meets at the Nelson's home on the west side of town. Sorry, no childcare is available.

Contact Jeremy at pastorjeremynelson@gmail.com or 641.640.0685 to make sure the group is meeting the week you can come and for directions to their home.

  • Nick and Jen Dykema

Pastor Nick and Jen joined us in Iowa Falls in the summer of 2021 when Nick became our associate pastor. Jen is a nurse at the hospital in town. Both of them have enjoyed getting to know others better through their Life Group.

This Life Group will be more particularly for young adults in our church family and community, but anyone is welcome! They gather weekly at Brandon Waring's home, located just outside city limits to the west, on Wednesday nights at 7:30pm.

Contact Pastor Nick at pastornickdykema@gmail.com or 641.204.9284 for more information or for directions to Brandon's home.

  • Jeff and Mary Vieth

While their acts of serving the church may not always be noticed, Jeff and Mary Vieth contribute to the church body in many ways. From hot coffee and fresh donuts every Sunday morning, to prep work for church meals, Jeff and Mary help keep regular activities at IFEFC running each week. During the week, Jeff can be found helping answer insurance questions and Mary is enjoying more free time as she recently retired.

The Vieth's Life Group meets on Thursdays at 6:30pm. They meet weekly at Jeff and Mary's home, located on the east side of town. Children are welcome to come play while the adults meet.

Contact Jeff at vieth@q.com or 641.640.4525 for more information.

  • Ron and Linda Allen

If you have a question about life in Iowa Falls or the history of IFEFC, ask Ron and Linda Allen. Ron and Linda have spent much of their lives in town and were some of the first members of our church. Although retired, part-time jobs, caring for family members, and a bountiful garden keep them busy.

The Allen's Life Group also meets on Thursdays at 6:30pm at the church building. No childcare will be available.
