awana

AWANA is an acronym which stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed (from 2 Timothy 2:15). AWANA is a children's program (kindergarten-6th grade) that meets during the school year on Wednesday nights under the leadership of Chris and Tina Stauffer.

Our time together this year will include a small group time focused on reciting and talking about memorized Bible verses, as well as a large group time of music and Bible teaching.

AWANA will start again on September 8.

Check back in August

for more information on registration.

Sunday School

Sunday School happens on Sundays at 9:00am for ages preschool-adult.  God has blessed our church with some loving and gifted teachers who engage all of our children and youth with clear and relevant teaching.  We want them to be molded by God's Word and motivated by God's glory as we equip them to make disciples in their world.

Sunday School for ages preschool-adult

is from 9:00-9:55am on Sunday mornings

and will resume on Sunday, September 12.

one-to-one youth discipleship

Discipleship happens in the context of relationships.  For a number of years now, our youth have benefited from our 1-1 discipleship program.  The program is for youth in grades 7-12 who are regular Sunday School and youth group attenders who would also like to be discipled/mentored by an adult in a one-to-one setting. If someone is interested, they should contact Pastor Jeremy and we’ll get it arranged. They can start at any time.

Middle school youth Group

We want 6th-8th graders to know Jesus and make Him known. In addition to Sunday School and 1-1 mentoring, many of our middle school students participate or serve in our AWANA ministry.  This is a great opportunity to grow. We also want to give them a space to learn and grow together with others of the same age.

Our Middle School Youth Group

has finished meeting for the school year. Check back in August 2021

for details about youth group in the fall!

Bo Meester, Steve and Alison Campbell, and Ryne and Jeanette Reyes are the youth group leaders. For more information, please contact the church office.

HIgh school youth Group

The High School Youth Group at Iowa Falls Evangelical Free Church exists to encourage and equip our young people to become disciples of Jesus Christ. Our emphasis is on reading and studying the Word of God, glorifying Him in all we do, and learning how to carry out His commands. Leaders for this group are Mark and Linda Guy and Jess and Terri Peterson. This group meets at the home of Mark and Linda Guy on Sunday evenings during the school year to share a meal, discuss the events of the week, and read and study God's Word.  For more information about high school youth group, contact the church office.

The High School Youth Group has also finished meeting for the school year.

We'll get started again in the fall!

Nursery

Jesus loves little children and so do we.

You can drop off your children in our nursery

and rest assured that they will be cared for by a loving adult

during the 10:15am worship service.

To keep things safe and manageable, our nursery is available

for children through 3 years of age.

Moms, if you need a quiet place to be

with your little one during a worship service,

we also have a nursing lounge with a changing table

available across from the nursery.

It can be accessed through the women's restroom.

The service will be shown on a TV in that room

so you can still be engaged in that way.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL (vbs)

For the past few years, we have teamed up with 3 other local evangelical churches to reach out to children in our community with the gospel through Vacation Bible School. We meet at the Iowa Falls-Alden High School for 4 mornings in mid-summer.
