Adult Discipleship

With the promise of His presence and under His authority,

Jesus commands the church to be about making disciples.

We take Jesus' commands seriously and we trust in His promises and His authority completely.

So how do we make disciples who make disciples?

Gathering together for worship on Sunday morning is a great first step.

But we need more...

Men's and Women's Ministries

Clay: Women Molded by the Potter

Ladies wanting to grow in their knowledge of and love for the Lord, as well as fellowship with other women are invited to be a part of this Bible study. Bible study, prayer, encouragement, and fellowship are part of our time together.

Clay meets on alternating Tuesdays from 9:30-11am. During this session, "The Sermon on the Mount" Bible study by Jen Wilkin will be used. Childcare is provided.

Shine Bible Study for Women

All ladies are invited to join Shine Bible study as they read and use "The Prodigal God" by Tim Keller to study the parable of the prodigal son. Come learn with us as we glean insights from each of the characters in Jesus' parable: the irreligious younger son, the moralistic elder son, and the father who lavishes his love on both.

Shine meets on alternating Thursdays from 9:30-11:00am. No childcare is provided during this study.

Men's Ministry

Our church is renting the gym at Riverbend Middle School

(1124 Union St) from 7-9pm on March 5th and 19th for the men in our church to both play basketball and get to know each other a little better. Freewill offerings to help cover rental costs will be accepted that night. Please contact Trent at 515.291.0285 for more information.

You can also contact Pastor Stan at for more information on this, as well as future events.

Life Groups

Because we believe that people grow when they are connected to God's Word and God's people, our goal is to have every adult in our church family involved in a life group. Our groups typically meet weekly with their study being connected to Sunday mornings sermon. The goal of life groups is to establish life-changing relationships and grow toward maturity in Christ together.

Sunday School

Adults will have two options for Sunday School classes this fall:

1. Core: What We Believe. Why It Matters.

Join us as we dig deep to get to the core of the Christian faith. What do you believe? What do others believe? Why does it matter?

2. The Art of Parenting by Family Life

Every parent needs help and encouragement. Join us as we learn about some of the key issues every parent and child need to address together.

Free Church 101
